1. Who we are
Yozly (“we”, “our”, “us”) is an IELTS writing practice platform operated at yozly.uz. We are registered and operate under the laws of the Republic of Uzbekistan. Questions about this policy can be sent to support@yozly.uz.
2. Information we collect
Account information
When you create an account we collect your name and email address. You may optionally add a profile picture.
Writing submissions
We store the essay prompts you practice with and the writing you submit during sessions. This data is used to generate AI-powered feedback and to track your progress over time.
Session & score data
We record your session history, criterion scores (Task Achievement, Coherence & Cohesion, Lexical Resource, Grammar), and improvement metrics so you can review your progress.
Payment information
Yozly does not operate a card payment processor. When you purchase credits, you transfer the payment to a bank card displayed in the app and then send a photo of your payment confirmation to our Telegram bot. We store the confirmation details you submit (screenshot, transaction reference, amount) solely to verify and credit your account. No card numbers, bank credentials, or financial instruments are stored on our servers.
Usage data
We collect standard server logs (IP address, browser user-agent, pages visited, timestamps) for security and performance monitoring. We also use Google Analytics to understand aggregate usage patterns (see Cookie Policy below).
3. How we use your information
- Provide, personalise, and improve the Yozly service.
- Generate AI-assisted writing feedback via Google Gemini.
- Verify credit purchases and credit your account.
- Send transactional emails (account creation, password reset).
- Detect and prevent fraud or abuse.
- Analyse aggregate, anonymised usage to improve the product (Google Analytics).
We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
4. AI processing
Writing you submit is sent to Google Gemini API for automated scoring and feedback generation. Google processes this data according to their API terms; submitted text is not used to train Google’s models when accessed via the API. We do not share your name or account details with Google when sending writing samples.
5. Data sharing
We share your data only with the following categories of third-party processors, solely as needed to deliver the service:
- Google Gemini API — writing samples for AI scoring.
- Google Analytics — anonymised usage analytics.
- Telegram — payment proof submission via our Telegram bot.
- Hosting / infrastructure providers — server hosting, database, and CDN (data remains within the contracted data-processing agreement).
6. Data retention
We retain your account and session data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account we will erase your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or financial record-keeping obligations.
7. Your rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Request correction of inaccurate data.
- Request deletion of your account and associated data.
- Object to processing of your data for analytics purposes.
To exercise any of these rights, email support@yozly.uz. We will respond within 30 days.
8. Cookie Policy
Cookies are small text files stored in your browser. Yozly uses the following cookies:

You can disable analytics cookies by using your browser’s cookie settings or by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. Disabling the session cookie will prevent you from logging in.
9. Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including HTTPS encryption in transit, hashed passwords, and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Children
Yozly is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe we have done so inadvertently, please contact us and we will delete the data promptly.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify registered users by email of material changes. Continued use of Yozly after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
12. Governing law
This policy is governed by the laws of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
